What It Involves
A New Roof Starts With the Old One Coming Off
Roof replacement means removing everything down to the wood deck, inspecting that deck, and building the new roof system up from there. Underlayment, ice and water shield, flashing, ventilation, and the shingles themselves all go on new.
We do not lay new shingles over old ones. Layering hides deck problems, adds weight the structure was not designed for, and shortens the life of the new roof. The tear-off is where the real condition of the roof shows itself, and it is the only way to know what you are actually paying to protect.
We commonly install CertainTeed shingle systems, along with other quality products chosen to fit the needs of the individual project.
- Full tear-off to the deck. No layering over existing shingles.
- Deck inspected and repaired. Rot and soft spots addressed before anything goes back down.
- Complete system. Underlayment, flashing, ventilation, and shingles, not just shingles.
